Decatur Dan directs this one. This comes off of Laws’ new record on his 5:01 Overtime project which is out now. For this song he goes in on an Outkast classic we all know.

Directed by Rik Cordero, this isnt your ordinary video! Taking place in a post- apocalyptic post WW2 Europe, with an theme that correlates with the message of the song. Very intense!

One of Zane One's many strengths is her ability to convey a unique and exciting view of Los Angeles through her lyrics. The new video for "Zane One (L.A. Woman)," the Dert-produced single off of her debut album, L.A. Woman, highlights these talents and couples them with scenes seemingly taken straight from her everyday life. "I wanted to capture all the styles and flavor we have here; hip-hop in this city is amazing and so diverse," explains Zane. These ties to the city run in the family, too, as she is sister and cousin to members of the legendary Los Angeles underground group LPG. The clip includes shots of live performances, break dancing, and even Zane One's own children. "I guess the only 'message' I was trying to relay is how awesome women really are," she stated, a sentiment that resonates through her powerful rhymes. "I love being an L.A. Woman."

The Background:

To say that the art of hip-hop is in her blood would be a massive understatement if referring to Zane One. Zane is the last born daughter of a pastor/poet as well as sister and cousin to the members of the legendary Los Angeles underground group LPG. She has opened for Cody Chestnut, and wrote songs alongside John Villa Lobos. With 20 years of hip-hop under her belt, countless shows, classic projects and a strong, unique sense of fashion, Zane will not only remind you why female emcees belong in the game, but also how aggressive and skillful artistry can manifest where you least expect it. I've never heard of Andreya Triana before today and the web seems to be buzzing about this soulful singer. Rightfully so, she really captures your attention with her alluring voice and mysterious omnipresence; something that's lacking in todays R&B music (if you want to call it that). With an industry and society that overly 'sexed up' sometimes we all need to just chill out, right? It doesn't hurt that your chillin' with a beauty like Andreya either. Sit back and enjoy.

Second single from Andreya Triana, 'A Town Called Obsolete', released on 26th July on Ninja Tune. Taken from her forthcoming debut album 'Lost Where I Belong' (23rd August), which is produced by Bonobo.

'A Town Called Obsolete' is an obliquely upbeat and heartfelt plea for patience and faith in the face of indifference. Triana's voice is perfect for this mixture of longing and hope, smokey, beautiful and tonally perfect. Bonobo, meanwhile, hooks up dusty break-drumming, thrumming electric bass and a horn part that peaks at just the right times. It's another example of the understated brilliance and emotional weight that the pair have packed into Triana's debut.

On the single remix duties are taken care of by the hotly-tipped Mount Kimbie.

Big Sean setting up to release his debut Finally Famous on G.O.O.D. Music due out Sept. 14th. The song "High Rise" is complimented with the visuals of some tig ol bitties. So if you are a minor - parental discretion is advised.  There is so many new rappers coming out these it is hard to keep up, I wonder if Big Sean can really differentiate himself from the rest!

Chicago emcee Add-2 was recently privileged with the opportunity to perform along side of the legendary hip hop band The Roots at The Highline Ballroom in New York. Add-2 was invited on stage during The Roots set to trade verses with front man Black Thought as The Roots band provided the beat. Add-2 described the experience as "Every emcee's dream come true. To not only watch them perform but to perform with them was a moment I'll never forget. Just to be on stage with Thought, Questlove, Captain Kirk and everyone was an honor and a blessing from God". The Grammy Award winning group The Roots recently released their new critically acclaimed album "How I Got Over" available now on Itunes and other music retail stores.

Add-2 recently finished his college tour which included University of California in San Diego, Valparaiso University in Indiana, University of Illinois in Urbana, Northern Illinois in Dekalb and Highline Community College in Seattle and is currently finishing up his new project titled "Better Days..." which will be released this summer. New music & interviews from Add-2 coming soon.

To be invited up to the stage by the Grammy Award winning Roots is probably on every serious emcees wishlist. We'd like to give Add-2 a big CONGRATS on all his accomplishments thus far! There isn't anywhere else to go but UP!
