Brevi:: The “B”-Girl

Brevi- From the word Brevis, meaning brief, short, little.

The only thing that's little about this MC/singer is her stature. As a 5ft nothing, 20-something woman, one would hardly be intimidated by her based on appearance alone. Let her get in the booth...and you'd know why not judging a book by it's character is probably some advice you should adhere to. Not falling short on skill, Brevi is about to stand tall in the game.

B
revi is, by any definition of b-girl, a b-girl.As a wearer of many hats,she's what you'd refer to as a jill-of-all-trades talented in breaking, tagging, rapping and singing . So in walking through the maze like passage ways of a studio that seemed more Batcave than the place where Dre recorded The Chronic, we figured Brevi had to be pretty official in order for her to record there of all places. And we found out she's indeed official. There is no bravado about her and she assures you she means it when she says that she loves hiphop music. But she can't say for certain where she's from exactly. Having a difficult childhood and growing up in "every city" in California, Brevi called alot of places home . After about 5 seconds of Q&A and the aroma of westcoast kush, you begin to realize that it was the combination of the streets and her mama's steadfast swagger that gave her that added flavor.They seasonsed her into what she is today...a true artist.

I am a just a little south of perfect. You should know I am worth it.

Praising Heltah Skeltah's Rock & Ruck  and jazz greats like Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday for being her "inspiration", Brevi's musical tastes and talents are as ecclectic as she is. So even when drawing comparisons between her and other female rapper/singer-ish people (we'll leave the names out to protect the innocent lol) she chuckles as if she knew who would be mentioned.

"They're dope but im a different kind of dope. Know what im sayin'?"

With hopes of reaching the top of the hiphop hierarchy, Brevi has created fans out of some well known artists such as B-Real (Cypress Hill) Raekwon of Wu-Tang and Baby Cham who have all supported her her upcoming release under the Universal Republic/SYATT Music Group brand. Having that sort of backing, and windpipes will guarantee Brevi a spot amongst the greats soon enough.
