Obama takes hold with HOPE–words by Joshua Stohl

Some people are concerned with Kimbo Slice's 14s KO, but i could give a shit about that dude. I'm feeling the heat between Obama and McCain. In a month, this nation will either receive all-city-stamps of HOPE plastered left to right, top to bottom promoting change in blockbuster letters, or feel the war-tainted-noose of DOOM clench around their necks in utter demise revoking any sort of hope for progress and equality. That's right folks, this nation will be taken under the reigns by Obama or McCain, there is no grey area here. And i'm ready for either candidate. By that i mean, if McCain seazes power in the white house, then i'm moving from this country, because it will be taken hostage for another 4 years under ill-ridden, greed-induced, blood suckers, and i can't allow myself to be a victim to that!

Now if Obama is sworn in, this country may just have a chance to be saved from a collapse and be restored to a nation that protects its people and their civil liberties with avail. I fully count on Obama as a leader to promote change and progress within the country and end the unjust treatment of so many people who have been stripped of voice, character, and simple humanity. I see Obama as MLK and Bobby Kennedy reincarnated with a vigorous might for social growth and prosperity aiding the less unfortunate and keeping the powerful elitst force from being the true terrorizers of America.

I can imagine Obama choosing rappers to serve on his team. Mos Def and Talib would provide their zealous insight on social upheaval and relief to the lower class, while the GZA would make chess moves against the right-wing conservatives shaking them of their loot and castrating them with his Liquid Swords. Common would bring sense to the youth through new electric lenses that push their generation to the beats of Kanye West, and the Native Tounges would be at the forefront of change raising the stakes of hiphop socialism and setting examples for the world to follow. All the while E-40 would empower his neighborhoods to unite under common goals like Bobby Seale and Huey P. Newton did in the 60s. Yeah, that's the team i want to serve with Obama.

Get out and vote for the truth and don't complain, because it's too late for that. I want CHANGE and McCain won't be bringing any such words to his platform. Instead, all we'll hear, see, taste and feel are the miserable realities of war and more war. In Obama we trust!
