Rudy died in the early morning hours of October 20 of apparent complications due to diabetes.

Rudy is survived by his daughter Yvette and his 98 year old mother, Lucille.

Only recently did Rudy's health prevent him from touring. His life was always on the stage, making people laugh. His style was risque and he was considered more explicit than his contemporaries Redd Foxx and Richard Pryor.
