Uzoy-Welcome to her “Twilight Zone”
For the past couple of years, the south has been losing respect in the music industry. Houston has been particularly persecuted for the lack of substance in hiphop. Although the south has been labeled as the haven for club rappers, a fresh and upcoming rapper is emerging on the scene. Uzoy was born July 5, 1988 in Houston, Texas. Growing up, she always had ambitions for the music industry, writing her first songs in high school and performing in talent shows as a child. Further pursuing her interest in singing and rapping, she aquired studio equipment to record songs that she will later able to put it on myspace and create a fan base.
Currently working on her first project, Uzoy is attending college while doing collaborations with various artists in the U.S. With her music breaking stereotypical barriers, Uzoy is sure to dominate the hip hop scene in the years to come.
