Arize: How did you get started?…and let us know a lil bio of you..
Well, I grew up in Albacete ( Spain ) and I started listening hip hop in 1992 when I was thirteen ( we love that golden era ), I played basketball with some friends how recorded me the firsts hip hop tapes. I started making beats in 2003 because I was impressed when I saw one of my friends, Gonso, making beats at home. He used the mpc 2000xl, but I started with Reason software. I was using Reason for 2 years and in 2005 I bought the mpc 2000xl as well… Since 2008 I am working with MPC4000 and I like that machine.

Arize: eM-LV? What does that mean? Who exactly are you? I noticed you didn’t have a pic of you on your myspace page…
eM-LV aka EMELVI , that’s the initials letters of my name MLV if you say it in English. I will put some pic on myspace…I don’t know jejejje.
Arize: What are some of the goals that you want to achieve by making these beats?
I just want my music to be heard by everyone and if some good mc wants to colabo and I like what he is doing it’s a goal for me. Just make music!
Arize: So besides beats, what else do you do in the music field?
Not much, I am focused in making beats.
Arize: What are you listening to in the ipod?

Arize: What inspires your beats?
They have such a different sound and character…. Since 90’s hip hop, Pete Rock, Premo, Large Professor, Jay Dee, RZA, Erick Sermon, Marley Marl, Diamond Dee, Dj Spinna, Beatminerz, Kev Brown , Madlib, Sa-Ra, Oh-NO, Black Milk, Oddisee, IllMind, 9th Wonder, Roddy Rod, Gensu Dean, Soul, Funk, Jazz and Latin music, …everything inspires me if its good music.

Arize: Whats the music scene like in Spain? And how different do you consider yourself from other beat architects?
In Spain there are a lot of really good underground beatmakers and producers doing things, I see people with a lot of talent for the music in a lot of different citys. I don’t know if im different because there are people making things in the same wave as me , I just try to make music as good as I can.
Arize: What are you working on right now? Any artists use your beats for there music?
